In continuous supply from stable jurisdictions, EAFD is very rich in metals with grades far superior than mineable ore deposits. This presents a unique opportunity to reshape the current zinc and iron oxide markets.
The average zinc grade for a mineable deposit is well under 10%. Capital-intensive efforts must be employed to achieve economies of scale. Mineral exploration risk must also be undertaken whereas typical North American EAFD is easily accessible and contains 15% to 25% ZnO and
>20% iron.

Other than zinc and iron, EAFD contains various other elements which can be recovered by ZnCore, such as: cadmium, cobalt, copper, lead, magnesium, manganese, nickel, potassium and silver. The diverse range of elements embedded in fine dust has made it challenging to effectively produce directly marketable products through conventional methods.
